This species was one of those I originally considered as a possibility for my Mystery Moth 3, now identified as Fumibotys fumalis (Hodges 4950).  The illustrations of I. demissaria in Handfield indicate a degree of variability, but the specimen above conforms well to his first photograph.  Now that I've seen the real thing for I. demissaria, I think the main factor that caused me to consider it as a possible identification for Mystery Moth 3 was color, as the wings are entirely the wrong shape.
